What is a lithium battery pack?

A lithium battery pack is a collection of individual lithium-ion or lithium-polymer cells grouped together to store and deliver electrical energy. These packs are widely used in applications such as electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, and portable electronics.

What if a battery system is resistively earthed?

If system is resistively earthed, is one conductor of the battery system connected to the installation earthing system via a resistor. The pre-assembled battery system earthing conductor shall be rated to withstand the prospective earth fault current of the battery system continuously. When a battery has an internal defect, self-discharge increases. On production lines, testing serves to detect batteries whose OCV has decreased beyond the defined value so that they can be excluded as defective. Manufacturers carry out the OCV testing in each process after initial charging.
