What is the difference between visible light reflectance and solar energy transmittance?

Visible light reflectance, front: the fraction of visible light reflected by the front side of a glass. Visible light reflectance, back: the fraction of visible light reflected by the back side of a glass. Solar energy transmittance: the fraction of solar energy transmitted through a glass.

How is spectral transmittance measured?

Examples of Film Measurements The spectral transmittance is obtained by measuring the transmittance of 3 mm-thick glass with film attached to one face. For these tests, we determined the visible light transmittance, UV transmittance, solar transmittance, solar reflectance, and shading coefficients for four types of film adhered to glass.

What is visible light transmittance?

Visible Light Transmittance (Tv, %) is the percentage of incident light in the wavelength range of 380 nm to 780 nm that is transmitted by the glass. Visible Light Outdoors/Indoors (Re out/in, %) is the percentage of incident solar energy directly reflected by the glass.

What is the difference between spectral reflectance and UV transmittance?

Spectral reflectance, front: the fraction of radiation of a specific wavelength reflected by the front side of a glass. Spectral reflectance, back: the fraction of radiation of a specific wavelength reflected by the front side of a glass.
